Dr. Jill Birch is a leadership adviser, writer, researcher and facilitator. Jill has spoken to 1000s of leaders around the world. Her presentations and consulting expertise embody the leadership values we all have today – how to engage teams, develop innovative strategy, and support people to embrace a new way to think about how we measure leader success. She has not only been a CEO, but has worked in one of Canada’s most highly regarded leadership consulting firms as well as the Schulich School of Business where she launched their leadership practice. Just recently, she received her Ph.D. in relational leadership. Her research is fresh, innovative and yes, will change your perspective on how you think about leadership and how leaders are developed. Working with Jill will awaken you to re-think leadership, unsettle you to behave differently and move you to take positive action. If you are skeptical of the same tired approaches to leadership, then Jill’s framework and approach have been tailor-made for you.

Jill has worked extensively with the finance, telecommunications, insurance, energy, pharma, educational institutions, government and not-for-profit sectors. She’s done her homework. In addition to her research, Jill has held senior executive roles in the trade association sector where she focused on retail, broadcasting, publishing and marketing.

Most recently Jill was CEO of the Canadian Art Foundation and Publisher of Canadian Art magazine, where she created a new vision to grow Canada’s appreciation for visual arts. She launched a new business model and strategy that led the organization to achieve award-wining recognition for its print and digital platforms.

Jill holds a Ph.D. from Griffith University in Australia where she researched relational leadership and an M.A. from OISE/UT where she researched how CEOs learn to lead and how they learn to learn. She is also a Certified Association Executive.
